Nuova operazione di marketing virale di Paddy Power, che ha saputo sfruttare al massimo la mediaticità e l’interesse dei romani per il rugby, in occasione dell’ultimo match del Sei Nazioni 2013 (Italia-Irlanda), svoltosi oggi allo stadio Olimpico di Roma. Il bookmaker irlandese ha scelto di stupire i cittadini capitolini nelle principali vie del centro storico, facendo girare, a sorpresa, fra la folla, un energumeno verde con tanto di scritta “Paddy Power” sulla maglia in stile rugby. Un’operazione simpatia nei confronti del pubblico romano, strizzando l’occhio al rugby e alla nazionale irlandese, una scelta non casuale considerate le radici geografiche di Paddy Power. L’energumeno verde ha simulato mischie, ha passato l’ovale a tanti giovani (sia uomini che donne), simpaticamente è entrato in un negozio di lingerie uscendone con un reggiseno di pizzo, ha fermato, per pochi secondi, un autobus comunale mimando un contrasto, ma, soprattutto, è entrato nel cuore dei romani giocando sull’ironia, punto di forza della comunicazione Paddy Power, da quando ha scelto di sbarcare con il “.it” nel mercato dei giochi e scommesse tricolori.
Seconda vittoria nell’ RBS 6 Nations per la nazionale italiana che, davanti ad uno Stadio Olimpico esaurito, batte per la prima volta nel torneo l’Irlanda per 22-15. Punti al piede di Orquera e Garcia, mentre l’unica meta di giornata è dell’ala Giovanbattista Venditti.
