Judging by the smiles on the faces of EU and US officials gathered for a short press point, the Trade and Technology Council inaugurated on 29 September in Pittsburgh seems to have started with the right footing.
Many steps have been taken, such as agreeing on greater coordination on foreign takeovers (i.e. China) and joint standards for artificial intelligence. Much remains to be done.
